ON GOING NEEDS
Perishable and nonperishable food:
• Condiments (mayo, ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, etc.)
•Pickles, olives, other items to add to our daily salad bar.
• We welcome perishable food such as fruit, vegetables, milk, half and half, cheese, cream cheese, yogurt and sour cream.
Move-Out Kits
We provide a move out package for each resident when they move to their new home. The packet includes a laundry basket, small cleaning bucket, sponges, all purpose cleaning spray, small laundry detergent, broom, dust pan, dish soap, one roll of paper towel and a 4-pack of toilet paper.
Greeting Cards
We send a birthday card to each child who has stayed with us over the last year and a welcome card to each family when they move
to their new place. We need cards for all occasions for our residents. If you have cards we’d love to have you donate them to us.
Incentive Items…
We have a resident store where parents earn items that they need for their new homes.
We always need certain items… silverware, drinking glasses, pots and pans, sets of dishes, cereal bowls,
shower curtains and rings, kitchen towels, and items specific for older school aged children, including teens.
Gift Cards…

We need gas station gift cards to assist with resident transportation needs.

We take groups of children to McDonalds or Burger King and other local stores for special treats and we’d love gift certificates.
- We plan a monthly mom’s night out so our mothers can have one special day per month to do something fun while their children are cared for back at Dakota Woodlands. We’d appreciate gift cards to Regal or Marcus Theatres, pizza restaurants, Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen or other fun places.
- We buy much of our groceries from local stores…Rainbow, Cub or Sam’s Club in addition to our donations of perishable and nonperishable food, so gift cards to any of those stores are great.
