You can help us reach our goal of $3,000!

For nearly 45 years, Dakota Woodlands has provided warm meals, a safe space to sleep, and essential support to families experiencing homelessness in our community. But now, we’re facing a challenge that could impact our ability to provide the high level of service that we expect.
Our shelter’s main refrigerator and freezer —critical pieces of equipment that allow us to store fresh food and prepare nutritious meals—are reaching the end of their lives. Without a functioning refrigerator and freezer, our ability to provide healthy meals is severely compromised, and the families staying with us will be directly affected.
This is where we need your help.
We’re launching a fundraising campaign to raise $3,000 to purchase and install a new commercial-grade refrigerator and freezer. This investment is not just about new appliances; it’s about ensuring that we can continue to serve over 100 meals each day to those who depend on us. Every meal we provide is a step towards gaining independence and stability for families experiencing homelessness in our community.
Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:
- $50 can help us purchase fresh produce to fill our new refrigerator.
- $100 can contribute towards the installation costs.
- $250 can cover a portion of the total cost.
- $500 can significantly move us closer to our goal, ensuring we meet our target quickly.
- $3,000 will get the job done!
Every dollar counts, and your support will have a direct and immediate impact on the lives of those we serve. With your help, we can continue to provide the essential nourishment that is a cornerstone of our care.
